A few years ago, my step-son decided he wanted to play football. Already athletic and tall at the height of 6’3’’, he still appeared to have some baby fat. I thought he looked cute and could still the 2 year old in my big boy. He, however, did not like that he still had anything on him that was not all muscle. We began a regimen of eating healthier and lots of fruits and vegetables and proteins were on his plate daily. No more filler carbohydrates and junk food. I made more from raw materials and bought less processed items. I saw a difference in how the whole family was feeling overall but still he was not happy as he was not yet “ripped”.

Since my boy was not pleased and I worried about his health, I began a search as to what other healthy things I could encourage him to try. At this point, I also had begun to lose some weight from having three children and was not minding the changes I began to see happen in the mirror, myself. I wanted my son to stay on the healthy route of achieving his goal and to avoid the use of any steroids or anything else that in the long run could prove unhealthy for him. No magical weight loss pills would give him or I the look we now desired.

I stumbled upon the Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle and was very intrigued by the information I read on the internet about it. It seemed to go right along with my way of thinking. Diet was not the key Lifestyle was. Eating properl y, in order to feed one’s body versus starving or denying it made much more sense to the mother in me. We still were using our bodies daily to perform the tasks why starve it?

When I began reading the book, I completed the goals section and this alone caused me to get serious about my body and to change little things that have helped me to lose my gut and even gain self confidence. Setting the goals seemed to fuel my motivation and helped me stay on track while encouraging my boy in ways that would help him also. Your ebook is packed with so much information I have read it twice to glean all I can. I have seen a big improvement in everyone that sits around our table. Since this is not a diet book, my meals have been prepared for the whole family using your tips and even the foods to avoid. My children will grow up healthy and my husband has leaned up some also. Being a soldier he has never suffered much from any weight issues but like everyone he needs to watch and be careful also. The recipes you included in your book have contributed to a longer leaner life for all of us. 

Now my son is in the single digits of body fat and you can see the veins popping on his arms. The bulging muscles in his arms are already visible and turning the girls heads.   We will not even discuss how good he looks with a shirt off these days. I know you mentioned this was not an athlete’s diet or regime but it has worked wonders for him. The coach even inquired what he did over the summer to come back looking so good. Thank you for your book, it has changed our lives.
